Oh and @boredaf, Congrats on the Hom DP and I think Lace would be a wonderful choice on him with his dark coat, if you end up keeping him! I looks really nice when Livers also have Mushroom or Satin too. I don't have an example right now but you could try the search to see what you can find! :D

Really? Me too, at lease on the Nordic side of Mythology lol and I usually name this RS after Loki because of his relation to Sleipnir, even though the 8 legged horse was Odins steed! Here was my first SoS mare, she is still going at 20yrs now:

Your welcome! Oh I didn't think about that, Hmm that would depend on if your wanting Livers (red based) or more black based colors. It would help to get more DP in your herd, could even get Homs by 3g if that is what you are looking for. DP still shows nice on things like Brown, Buckskin and Bay but not really on plain Blacks. Satin works well for either Reds or Blacks so its a toss up. Though if Satin is what your really focusing on then I would say go for it! You can still get a Liver from Het Blacks that have DP too and it would still all look good in the end! ;) Another note that I forgot though is i don't think Lace will show if mixed with Axioms/Nexus.

Oh good info thanks, I think I may just do that since satin is my focus. DP is really just a selling point to up the horses value I'm not really breeding for it myself. That's really helpful about lace luckily apart from thinking it would look good on Magic Rune I'm mostly interested in the licence just so it's one less to worry about when buying straws/horses, to the point where I would likely sell whatever horse I put it on. I feel that way about all the phantom genes and most ice (9 and 10 being the exceptions)

Where as these Phantoms (the ones I mentioned before) don't depend on any white markings or kit genes to show and so will show on the horse's coat all over the body. They aren't restricted to just the white area's to show up either.

Yeah I have every Phantom license and could be a "Phantom Queen" lol, they were the first fantasy genes I had started with (mainly because there only 5$) and had just gotten in to the Axioms. I had way too many to post them all. I have actually been thinking about cutting one or two of my Phantom lines because I have so many to breed and can't get them all done in one month and my barns are filling up, so if you Do get any of the Phantoms then I may have quite a few extra horses I could give you in that case lol. I breed 2 color specific Phantom lines, have my Axiom Paintbrush line, then a mixed all goes fantasy group (mainly Ice 20/Choco/Hearts right now but always throwing in other things when I get them), my Silver Chinchillas, and then my open/non fantasy group that is my Livers/Pearl Livers/Chocolate Palominos with Kit M, Satin and ND1............not to mention my Pearl Jellyfish Phantoms & side Nexus. That's why I wanted to try an consolidate my Axioms & Jelly's into one line and I'm adding Nexus in with my Chinchillas and will probably cut a Phantom line and keep my fantasy & Liver Pearl Satin groups then. I didn't even show you my Phantom Apple Brown's yet lol! :D

I agree with you 100%, he would be "out of this world" good lol!


Oh and my Chn's also have Shamrock & Diamond Sparkle and I have a Halloween Phantom line and Lace running around ...........somewhere in my barns too! :)) So yeah there is a LOT going on ......sometimes even i can't keep everything straight! I'm not completely sure about Nexus on Chn, I think the Chn can have an effect when mixed but I'm new to that too and just thought they were pretty mixed together lol, my stud Night Lights is Hom Chinchilla and Nexus so I got him since I was going to combine the two anyway and........see how it goes I guess. :-?? Yup, Beacon will help me introduce more Satin into my Pearl Livers as he is my first Satin foundation stud that I have Ever had and I'm pretty excited to see how he does with my Pearl mares! I had my Pearl heard before even my Phantoms or Axioms, so that line I am definitely keeping, I love my Pearls too much to get rid of them! :x


Oh no the horse hording/buying has taken you as well? Now you know my pain lol, at least its a mare! You Always Need more fillies and the DFP1 is really nice too. Once I get the money then I want to add in Mushroom & DFP to my all goes fantasy as well............and you think that just You has a problem here? =))

Thanks! The fantasy genes are great too but I think that I will Always be obsessed with Pearls! Though I really need to do some re-organizing lol.

Well you might need to start on your intervention early before its too late..........on the flip side more sa ponies (I didn't even see that lol)!

They really do which is why I went with a dark Brown for them and slowly adding in DP to make them even darker! Well your in too deep now and there Is so No going back..........or a cure for any of us. >:)
