    ** Contest closed!! Thank you everyone for the name ideas. Our little boy is now named Odin. **

    I am really struggling to name my new puppy that comes home August 15th, so I am holding a contest to see if anyone can help me come up with ideas. Right now, the name "Loki" has been sticking, but I am still open to more ideas.If there has been no name mentioned that I end up using, I will still send out some random prizes to some of my favorites. Please no common basic names like "Blue, Sparky, Fred, Max, etc" - I am looking for something with meaning, preferably either something to do with strength, growth, positivity, or anything crystal or astrology related.

    Here are a few pictures of him. I will post more on this thread as he gets older! He was born on June 13th, he is the biggest puppy in the litter by 2 oz, and also was the first one out of 10 to start waddling around. He is also the most vocal puppy so far! lol. The sire is already 120 pounds, and this pup is going to probably also be a big boy :x

    I love his color!

    Some ideas: Griffin (translates to "strong lord" in Welsh), Kiboko (Swahili for hippo. Always liked the word and hippos are very strong!), and another Swahili word, Nuru. Nuru means light, and I thought it might be a nice option if you went with a word for positivity! :)

    Aww... He's a cutie!

    Name ideas:
    1. Shihab (Arabic) translates to shooting star. I think this name is cool since he's a dark puppy.
    2. Solace
    Solace means comfort or consolation in a time of distress or sadness.
    We had a very cuddly stray cat come to us in a time of distress and we named him Solace, so I thought the name was so precious it would be nice to see it on another cute pet.
    He sure is adorable!

    He looks like my late pit, he was the best dog I’ve ever had but Here’s a few from my running list of names. (I’ll wait a bit before I edit my comment and add some more)

    Mugen - means infinity, I got it from an anime (samurai champloo)

    Kyanite - it’s a blue crystal, since your dog is ‘blue’ could call him Ky for short.

    Zeppelin - could be the rock band or the aircraft, it’s just a cool name.

    Coors - like the beer, but I always associate the word coors with cool blue and grey tones. Again like the coat color.

    Thank you so much to everyone who entered this and gave me suggestions, I decided I am going to close this early as me and the boyfriend went through all the names you guys listed, and "Odin" has really stuck.

    The person who suggested the name is Daumi! Congrats :x I am sending you the 1 mill right now.
