Selling foals is NOT the way you can make money in this game. Showing is where the game money lies.
As for why there hasn't been much interest in this colt, consider this: DP is no longer an extremely rare gene in the game because a lot of people breed for it. It is not a Limited Edition gene. You can occasionally create horses that will be carrying it. Dark Chestnut is a popular Herd Helper because Liver Chestnuts can occur when you use it. It's also available in the Genetic Modification lab for a moderately high number of tokens. That means that while it takes more than a few tokens, it is far from being the most expensive of the genes available there.
