I love sabino with Phantom Autumn :D

I like to use Splash with Phantom Jellyfish! Tobiano works well for any of the Phantoms but they won't show on horses with Lp. Also a few of them don't need a lot of white to show. Lace, Hearts and Autumn are able to show on a horse's coat without Kit genes. :)

They won't show on the Appy spots/blanket because Lp covers them up, but they may somewhat show if a kit was present With the Appy. Otherwise if the horse Just has Lp then no, they won't show Phantoms.

So that kind of depends on which kinds of phantom you want to get into.

There's the ones that only show up in a white area: apple picking, bats, ghosts, jellyfish, pumpkins, skulls, spiders

Diamond sparkle, shamrocks, and autumn are around the edges of white markings, and autumn is kinda unique in that it does that AND shows a little without any white.

Phantoms that don't require white would be: autumn, cobweb, hearts, lace.

If you're looking for large areas of white, actually the best KIT mutation is probably W20. You probably don't want horses homozygous for any other KIT mutation, because either that won't make as much white (like SB/SB) as one copy + W20 would, or it might be lethal (like W3/W3). W20 is only dangerous with White 1 and 2.

Hom W20 + splash always works nicely! Or you could invest in Splash 2 or Splash 3, which are "louder" than Splash 1. Splash M is super pretty but does lighten the base color, so the phantoms might not stand out as much.

Funny I find w20 doesn't really do much for skulls, to the point where I don't even consider w20 mares candidates unless they have something else, same with kitm.
