Ok I have a quick question since I've been gone for awhile I noticed a couple horses that I bought have a chimera gene, what is that? Is it passable to offspring if bred together?

Chimera is the new brindle.

Hello, I'm new today! I own two horses IRL, plus what amounts to a small "zoo" of dogs, birds, and reptiles! I don't understand much about the game yet - the FAQ is a little overwhelming - but I'm trying to just jump in and figure things out!

Thanks Confluence, I'm slowly getting the hang of things... Can you tell me what a "bootstrap" is? I keep seeing that but haven't quite figured it out yet.

Oh, good! Because I don't know if I could explain it right, myself! I haven't tried it, but then again, I've been playing over a decade and don't need to get high pointed show horses fast! I usually refer people to the main forum with the bootstrapping questions! :)

@ClassicCreations, you are welcome to post pictures! That topic would probably fit best under the HAJ Discussion category on the main forum. You do have to find an image hosting site like Imgur to up load the pictures, then just paste a link on your post.

Pasture bonus means horses have a higher chance of being good breeding quality i.e 'passing'.

I'm trying to move my herd toward heavy bones too however it is important to note that fewer players buy draft so that's something to keep in mind.

@ConfluenceStable My only problem with imgur is sometimes there is content that cotains swears because you never know how old some people are in a online game.

Hmmm....I think something is up with the search. Let me check it out.

What are your search parameters? It may be that it’s too specific and there aren’t any horses available that meet your criteria.

Though I also looked in the search using only “X: Must have” for the widest parameters possible, and I think there’s simply not any listed for stud/brood or for sale. It still early in the month though and more horses get listed as the month progresses! So it may just be that there’s not any listed yet :)

@elvenequestrian You can't list the open fantasy genes on public sale, you have to auction or put them in buddy chats. I'm about to breed my pastures so if you can hang on a day or two I tend to give away my cast offs there are usually some passing nexus and ice colts that I don't want.

@crazysnakelady You will have to wait for it to appear on the Roving Gene Sale. The genes change up on the 1st and 15th of the month. Here are the current genes for sale:

Yes, it usually costs anywhere from $5-15 per gene. I’m not sure of the exact cost for Wrong Warp.

My original account was created in August last year. I've always been kind of a stickler for not paying for small games (think phone app games), but after I did the few months of basic for only a few dollars, I got sucked in and have had a premium account ever since. I still can't spend real money for fun genes, but I don't find myself lacking. I just wish this game had existed when I was a super color gene obsessed teen/young adult.

I'm 35, have a farm, and these days am farther into dairy goats than my horses, but I'm ok with that.
