    It's because Frustrated is considered an open/public chat room. Can't hold horses for specific people in public chats. If it's for a specific person, you need to find a private chat or pick a time when you're both on and place it up for public sale on the chance the other person can pick it up quickly enough that it doesn't get sold to the wrong party.

    It can happen. What normally happens is the person is looking on the search for specific horses by genetics, they're part of the chat group, the horse shows for sale and they purchase it. They never even see any messages in the chat.

    This happened previously not too long ago, and I cannot find the specific thread as I’m currently on my phone, but I believe it was decided by the powers that be that Frustrated is no longer a public chat. It was recommended (if you have the upgrade) to use either party’s own personal buddy chats to conduct the transactions from now on.

    Definitely!

    It’s actually similar to posting horses for sale in a chat like Frustrated. If you go into your chat and look on the right hand side, it will say “Selling Rules”. Use the drop down box to select the horse you want to post for sale and enter the asking price. Then click “Buddy Sale” and voila! They’re posted! This is the same for posting a horse for stud in your chat under “Breeding Rules”.

    Since you own the chat, you can make it so only you (as the owner) are allowed to post horses for sale or stud, only you and anyone you designate as a mod can post horses, or anyone can post horses. There’s also an option that makes so absolutely nobody can post horses. It’s entirely your prerogative! :)

    ETA: There’s also a box lower down that allows you to restrict access to the chat, another one that allows you to manually add/delete members of your chat, and restrict the chat to only people who possess certain gene licenses.

    Thank you FallenFarms. I'll try that next time. I'm not sure how I managed to mess it up, but I ended up with a link that led to a picture of the horse. :-O
