Commonality of the White Genes
-
I was looking at the lethal white chart in trying to figure out what horses to pair, and I see that W2 is safe with relatively few pairings, but it seems the worst-risk matches are with white genes I have not yet encountered in my herd (W, W3, and W10). I generally have W2 and W20 along with frame. Are some of the white genes rarer than others? The chart is helpful to an extent, but I find the labels to be vague in stating the probability of any given pairing producing a healthy foal. For example, is low risk under 20, 15, or 10 percent?Game number 273531

Nightpheonix did a chart on them in here i think ; also if you go back a few weeks ; to just before the Breeders CLub were re organized ; Ammit was having a "sale" on the rarest White genes. -

Just keep in mind that my chart counts any risk of lethality as unsafe and doesn’t take into account the way white factor affects the kit genes’ lethality. I didn’t want to have to worry about that, so I just don’t breed anything potentially lethal. I play this game the way I would breed in real life, but a lot of people don’t mind taking the risk, so you can do whatever you want :)
W1, W2, and W20 are the only W mutations that can appear on a created horse as far as I know. The rest you have to GMT.Post edited by Nightphoenix at 2021-11-05 10:57:34I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I have the other whites in my lines. I breed a little careless, both in pastures and with embryos. An occasional lethal white occurs but its rare for me. If I notice it happen more than once to a mare, I move her to a different pasture so the cross can't happen. Honestly, when you start to breed hundreds of mares, a few lethal foals doesn't matter anymore.

Here's a link to the December 2016 chart that Ammit gave us back when she did a lot of work on the lethality of the various Kit genes in combination. It's not a simple thing to figure out, but for each of the Kit mutations in the game at the time, Ammit assigned a point value related to the amount of White Factor paired with Kit mutation. The red spaces on the chart are definitely lethal, reduced white factor (in all six levels) are shown in green with numbers suggesting how likely a lethal cross is.

Also , your colt is not evenly bred so probably would not pass breeding advice. He would be a Stunning ShowPony tho :) @crazysnakeladyPost edited by annismyrph at 2021-11-06 13:53:47Thanked by 1Nightphoenix

@SandyCreekStables- Thanks for the chart. I had seen it before but had trouble finding it again. That will be useful for the upcoming autobreeding session planning.
@Boredaf - Thanks for the offer. I will keep it in mind for later but still would like stay away from it for now, as I am learning yet.Game number 273531
