Congrats on 15 years! That's probably the longest I've ever heard someone has been a part of this game!
My favorite horse media is probably any of the horse breed books, the ones that break down characteristics by breed type. I checked out every single one of them at my local library when I was younger. It gave me the knowledge of breeds I have now!

My favorite horse-themed media growing up was the TV show, The Saddle Club. I believe it was produced in Australia, and would occasionally be aired weekend mornings in the U.S... I was so very obsessed as a kid, I think it fueled some of my love for horses, too. Dare I say, it still has a place in my heart. ;)

I think my favorite Horse books were written by Walter Farley ; he did "The Black" series and tossed in some Biographies of some Famous Horses ( Man O'War being one of them )

I read a lot of horse stuff when I was younger, so it's hard to choose a favorite. I enjoyed Henry's King of the Wind, about the Godolphin Arabian. Maybe a fuzz lower are the following:
A historical fiction book, Paul Revere and I, written from the horse's POV. For sheer nonfiction, I had a book called Horse: The Complete Guide, which gave an overview of horse care, history, and breeds.

HAPPY birthday! I know so many people with November birthdays, it's crazy!

I am currently rereading the Heralds of Valdemar series, but as a kid my favorite horse related book by FAR was Into the Land of Unicorns by Bruce Coville. My paperback copy was held together by the threads in the binding from how many times I read it.

As far as movies go, Secretariat and Hidalgo are always favorites. I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with any movie with horses in it because I immediately stop paying attention to the storyline because I'm too busy watching the horses and admiring how well trained they are (or not, in some cases!)

I also follow a horse rescue on Instagram and a couple horse-related tik tok accounts... I may be in a little too deep. :D

My first favorite horse movie was Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. I have a vivid memory of a time one of my teachers singing a song from that movie while I was in school. The movie was released in 1991. Its about a woman who rides horses off of high dives. If you have not seen it you should!

I just wanted to chime in with my favorites. Most people know about My Friend Flicka, but many don't know that it's the first book in a trilogy. The next 2 books, Thunderhead and Green Grass of Wyoming, are outstanding and I highly recommend reading them if you can get ahold of them
