Yes go betweens are fine for asking your giftees questions or sending horses you don't have licences for. HOWEVER there a feature that will keep your name hidden during anonymous gifting so that isn't an issue.

During the last exchange we were able to gift horses anonymously to our giftee, our name would stay hidden during the gifting time and then be revealed later in the month.
So, there's no need to sell a horse to your giftee anymore so no price is needed!

During the gifting phase, there will be a place on the gift exchange page to send horses to your giftee. This feature also allows you to send a foundation horse with a licensed gene that your giftee doesn't have yet and the license will transfer with the horse.

Horses gifted this way will show up in your giftee's primary barn with **GIFT** in front of their name.

I like Orbit Stud's question. I have my own as well. If I am having trouble finding a horse that meets the criteria stated, such as missing one gene, what should I do? I don't have GMTs and don't wish to buy any, but I want to be a good secret pal.
Also, at level one, do we need to do papering, or will simple breeding advice do?

Careful, it is against the rules to buy or sell horses just to use an upgrade feature. :)

@Treble herd helpers are a good option for you as all rank specials and any of the ones with breeder or perfect in the name will always have good papers.

Hey, I have a giftee that just wants hbs. (They also asked for IVs but since they can buy those with hbs I don't think there's a way to just send those, and I can just send enough money for them to buy a certain amount and say something to that effect in my eventual reveal message to them, right?). I can't remember if there's a way to send that without purchasing a horse or some similar kind of trade that they'd obviously know about?

How do I send my giftee horses or money? I've only done this one other time.

Hello, I have a question about the gift exchange. My 'secret Santa' asked more in-depth questions about what I am looking for. Do I respond to them using the recipients box? I am a little confused because I thought that box was for talking to the individual that you are gifting to.

If we're not supposed to use a go-between, how do you ask your giftee questions you need to know to edit a horses genes?

Gift exchange went to send my giftee 2nd genaration horses with phantom Gene's
And it came up with an error and would not let me transfer the horse. So in order for this to happen I need to transfer my original foundation that has the licence I would lose the licence and what happens to all the foals that I have in my barn that have the phantom Gene's? That I no longer have a licence to?

You can only transfer non-foundation horses if the giftee already has the appropriate licenses.

If you give up your license by sending your giftee a foundation with that gene, and that was the only license you had for that gene, you will not be able to breed any of your horses with that gene until you buy a new license for that gene.

You get one license every time you purchase that gene with real money and it's possible to have way more than one license per gene. There are some Axioms and Phantoms that I have like a dozen licenses for, and some Ices that I've only got one license for, so I have to be careful with which horses I use to gift.

Thanks as the days go on maybe the lace gene will come up I think the gift portal stays open for a week and I can manage to send her the horse.

@Dunappy9 you can ask someone else to do it for you, but the easiest and most secure way is to wait just a few days until the gift exchange is no longer in anonymous gifting mode and send them yourself directly :). Thats what I'll be doing too!
