I am tiny bit by tiny bit updating the design/layout of server 1 to our new more mobile friend system. It also is a huge update in a lot of your javascript and other systems. That means a lot of stuff could explode while I am doing this so I am going as slowly and methodically as I can. You will be seeing a lot of odd behavior and white screen errors for a while. Sorry for the inconvenience. I am trying to keep disruption to a minimum.

If you see a white screen error, just refresh your page. It should go away within a few seconds.

If a page flat out breaks/buttons stop working/otherwise becomes unusable please let me know.

And yes the horse page is a huge mess right now, but it DOES work. We will have to live with the mess for a little bit. Thank you for understanding.

All most all of our javascript is breaking. That includes features that allow you to submit forms without refreshing the page. That means you will have to do all testing one at a time for the moment.

The forum is still very much not working and the site does not function for small screens right now (sorry) I have to go feed goats than I will be back to work on fixing those. Thank you for your patience.

Can't seem to scratch show entries. I click the boxes of the horses I want to scratch, click the scratch entry button and nothing happens. I tried refreshing and no luck.

At the moment, on my stable home page, using Windows 10 and the latest FireFox (50.1.0), the Game alerts is not fully functional. I will check out my other browsers.

I can see the beginning of the announcements, but the scroll bar on the right, which is visible, is not active. The links for me to purchase offered straws are also, inactive. The little hand that signifies an active link does not appear. There isn't a great rush for me to purchase those straws.

Thanks for undertaking all this enormous upgrading for the players who use mobile devices either frequently or entirely. I only have my trusty desk top to play on, but certainly sympathize with their struggles, nevertheless.

Editing to add that I see the same issue with Microsoft Edge.

Only issue I am having is on the home page i cannot select anything- nothing is clickable eg. straw offers. I'm using Chrome.

Is it different for an android phone? My page looks wacky like the rest of my right side of my pages is cut off and I cant get it to move sideways for me to see it. How does one refresh their page?

On a phone you hit the triple bar icon to open the menu. Phones and desktop have drastically different layouts. There is no right side on a phone.

The site is looking much better now than last night. Thank you for all the hard work!

The only thing that I found broken which is giving me some trouble is ticking the "move" box in the barn pages. The one that selects all horses so that you can move them all at once. I have to tick each horse individually. (I'm using a laptop.)

I'm a multie tabber/mutlie windows person. Problem is, I don't have multiple monitors (just have a laptop). This new layout is cramped. I would be good to make the twitter bar and the menu bar disappear.

I love that we can see our hb balance everywhere now. I'd often wished for that during create/buying sprees. But I was also wondering if the twitter feed could be hidden. My reason is data usage concerns. Half the time I have image permissions turned off on my browser for that reason and I'm worried about the feed reloading again and again every time I navigate to a new page.

It's like walking into the grocery store after having shopped the same layout for years and, BOOM, they shake things up.

So far so I like it. I am wondering if it's normal to have to "backspace" through so many blank pages. For example, you use e horse search engine to compile a list of horses, if you select a specific horse, make changes to name, alter it, add tattoos and edit notes it seems like a journey to get back to the list to choose another horse to make similar changes. Is there a trick to getting back to the list in one or two clicks?

Not actually sure what you mean. I never "backspace" or use the back button on the site. Nor should you be seeing blank pages.

I agree with lydia on the feel of space on the page: the middle section - while the widest by far - seems a bit squished by the two quite airy side bars. And the middle section is the one with the actual information. The other two are just kind of like assistants to the main one.

The "tick all boxes" in the barn page is still not functional, by the way. Just in case my first message got lost in traffic.

Another thing I noticed is that the title of the page now says "HuntAndJump.com: xxxxxx", in which xxxxxx is the page content. Would it be possible to change it back to just having the page name wihtout repeating the site address every time? As it is, I cannot see what page I am on if I happen to have multiple tabs open at the same time since the name of the game hogs almost the entire tab bar (I generally hold multiple pages open when trying to pair mares and stallions during breeding season).

It would be helpful to frame feedback in the form of what could be improved (because it is many things still) and what is working instead of just a complaint. The game has to be made mobile friendly. Changes HAVE to be made. Weeding through tons of negative feedback can be tough for anyone and really knocks the wind out when you have been pulling massive hours and stessing to try and make improvements.

Say I use search for the 1 year old foals of a specific stallion because I want to rename them, add tack, apply tattoos and maybe alter them.

I choose a foal to edit. I use your spiffy link "Control Panel", change the horse's name, click "rename" and I am redirected back to the top of the horse's page. Then I click on "Tack" (because I don't want to scroll, it's waaay at the bottom", and I don't have to any more. TY!) and I copy tack from another horse. This returns me to the top of the horse's page and I click on "refresh horse". I click on "Tack" again to copy tattoos from another horse, and again I am returned to the top of the horse's page and click on "refresh horse". I then click on "Control Panel" so that I can use the tattoo manager to apply a special tattoo. Once that's done, I am back at the top of the horse's page.

How do I get back the the search? No one ever told me I should never use the back button to navigate to a previous page. I honestly thought that what the button was for?

It used to be possible to just click on the <-- browser button once or twice and I was back to the search. Now it takes (for this particular horse I used as an example) 12 clicks. And I don't neccesarily see blank pages, but a screen that says "Document Expired". <br />
I wasn't sure if it just needed tweaking or if navigation will be different from now on. Not everyone is computer savvy or even aware that there are hot keys or fancy features one can use to navigate. The solution isn't always obvious- to me, the back button is the obvious solution. I just today learned I can right click on that <-- button to see the search history and just click on the "horse search" from the drop down list and so, I have answered my own question. But I encounter the same issue using my phone and navigating on the phone (in general - not HAJINC specifically) is much more frustrating.

I apologise, Ammit, if my comment came across as criticism. I did not intend it to sound like that - what I was trying to do was give you some observations of what I had noticed in these early stages of the new layout. Something that you could take a look into some time in the future, when you have time :) I love what you have done so far - it looks great and will, for sure, make the game more accessible for mobile users. Thank you for all the hard work! I cannot even imagine how much coding it takes to get a page like this updated to a new layout.

What I was trying to say in my previous message were these pointers:
- see if you can either make the left-hand bar slightly less wide some time in the future or give use the chance to hide the right- and left-hand bars
- ticking boxes on the barn page probably just broke because of some tweak in the system. This will probably be functional again once everything is up and running, so no worries at this point.
- I would prefer the title of the page which is visible in my browser's tabs to be shorter so that I can see which page I am on. I'm not sure if other players agree, or if it is just me. Personal preference, I guess :)

-Yep the boxes have been reported a lot but they are not as high priority as getting things like the weekly pay button and the horse page working.
-The left sidebar is set of the width of YOUR screen so if I make it much narrower it becomes unusable for smaller screens. It is something I will look at in the future but as you guessed it is pretty dead low on the fix-it list, but it is something I want to look at. I looked for a compromise before it even went life and this was the best I could do at the moment.
-The title should definitely be switched. :)

And it was not just you, I got a little slammed there by people. Thank you.

I just wanted to take a second to tell you that I absolutely love how compatible this game has become with my phone! My phone and tablet are the only things I can play on and this update has made that so much more convenient to me. Thank you so much!

Really fantastic you're updating this, excited to see the changes! Just putting in my two cents that I agree with Lydia: having the option to hide the Twitter feed. Also, having the option to keep tabs open on the left side once you have already clicked on them. Thanks so much for all your hard work!

Hiding the twitter feed isn't going to happen so best get used to it. ;) It will get converted to an RSS feed for better load time but there is going to be a sidebar there. You won't be hiding that any more than you can hide facebooks right-hand column.

The new menu doesn't work like the old menu and doesn't do that. But navigation is going to get a lot of changes and the number of links on that side is going to be drastically reduced.

I'm on firefox 38.0.1 on a MAC and buddy chat isnt working now either, but it was this morning.

It also does not work (again on a mac) on:
Safari Version 10.0.3 (10602.4.8.0.1)
Chrome Version 43.0.2357.81

What most amazes me, Ammit, is that you are able to do this massive reworking of the game code while still enabling us to continue playing. That's my definition of gaming genius. I remember playing Farmville where any update, even minor ones, seemed to set the whole game spinning to a relative halt.

Here, we get a whole new look, with some minor hitches along the way, and when we mention something that seems to be broken, you are usually able to adjust it quickly, or explain why we need to wait a bit.

When gene testing, the results appear on the right side of the screen near the HB balance and are extremely hard to read. (I am playing on my tablet) this is minor and I'm sure you'll fix it when you can. I'm just making sure you are aware.

I was seeing the same thing this morning on a Windows 10 computer and a Firefox browser. It looked to be about 12 point font, maybe, normal type, and overlain on the corner. I will go create a horse and make a screen shot for you.
