Gene License & Gift Exchange Question
-
If I gift my one copy of a license in the GE, what happens to the other horses in my barn once I've lost the license?
I had some runner-up horses with the licensed gene that didn't make the cut for the GE, but I still wanted to let my giftee take a look at them after Christmas incase they wanted them. But I'm not sure what will happen to them if I gift the horse with the license first.. -
you can't breed them without the license ; that i know for sure ; best bet is to let your giftee know and stick them in 1 barn for them to look at first ; then send the licensed one overThanked by 1OfMoosehorn

There is some context missing needed to help you out.
Does your person already have this gene? In that case, don't gift the horse via the exchange. The exchange for transferring licenses don't use it if you don't need to gift the license.
Are these lined horses? Then it does not matter as the license will not transfer with them.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

The person does already have the gene. I purchased it to make shopping for them easier, but I was hoping to gift them the foundie I put the gene on.
The rest of the horses that didn't make the cut are all lined.
I don't have a desire to keep the license for myself either, if that matters. -
Sorry, I am having a hard time understanding what you mean by this, but I can answer the first question. If you gift your last copy of a gene you will be unable to breed horses with it or buy horses with it. Nothing will happen to horses you already own.Need to contact me? Read this first.
