Ammit, I actually don't know game policies on this... But I did a big oops. I was doing some culling and accidentally checked the wrong horse... yes it asks a million times if I'm sure and that it's irreversible but this guy got mixed in with the wrong bunch and well... he got the snip. Is there any way to fix this? I would just pay normally in the lab however I did not breed this horse, I only modified him. Im gonna be really sad if I lost these genes I added to him :,(

Oops, if he didn't have any foals you could have unaltered him. So sorry.

Sometimes the original owner can unalter the horse for you.

Even with foals they can be unsnipped. They just can't be GMT'd (gene edited) with foals.

@blucrystals.. that's true, but I believe only the breeder can unalter them (to stop people from unaltering a horse that was sold as a spay/geld) and according to the breeders stable page they are deactivated on sabbatical.

Yes, with foals they can be unaltered (I've Snipped my fair share accidentally)
Unfortunately only the breeder can unalter and Unfortunately in this case, HarmonyC has deactivated their account and hasn't been on since April.

That is very unfortunate... I wonder if it would be possible with the way the game is coded to allow just the player who altered the horse to unalter it, rather than the breeder only? Probably that information isn't stored by the game, but if it were, that would make it possible to undo these sorts of mistakes we make, but also make sure players can't unalter horses that were sold as speldings.

Since the stable is deactivated, there may be a point where he becomes re-registerable to a new breeder. At which point, Oatsman can reregister as the breeder and then unalter. I’m not sure the length of time or how it works though. Just had it come up on some horses I have.
