The greatest gift....my sister took 3 of 4 kids for the holiday break. (the teen didn't want to go, which turned out to be a good thing as he has an ear infection.)
I love my kids to pieces. But they are all boys and they are loud. Everything they do is loud. And they are messy. They are getting better about cleaning up. But it is a work in progress.
My sister took them during break as she is retired and loves having them. Although for some reason she bought them Nerf guns. She has a small place and it was rainy so they used her whole place and had a battle royal. She will be finding the darts for monthsThanked by 1TennesseeRain -
I think my greatest gift was my husband being willing to do a full sized horse. Or my sister flying out to me so she could help drive myself and my 2 boys to see our family 17 hours in one day and the next about 4 hours? I am so lucky to have such supportive and awesome family.Thanked by 1TennesseeRain

My greatest gift was my husband buying me my second Straight Egyptian Al Khamsa Arabian horse, Melody. I’m so grateful he supports my horse habit! :xThanked by 1TennesseeRain

My greatest gift was, without a doubt, my son who was born in March, after 10 years of secondary infertility, 17 miscarriages, 3 ectopic pregnancies and 6 IVFs with 10 transfers of 11 perfect embryos.
And this next year I am hoping to get my body working again. I'm going back to work on monday, and I can hardly walk right now :/ID 195859Thanked by 1TennesseeRain -
Wow Maribo! You are one strong lady to persevere through all of that. Congratulations on the birth of your son!
My greatest gift is "in production". I'm expecting my 3rd granddaughter in March. :D My children are all boys, so I am totally enjoying these little girls! :xID: 273497

My greatest gift this year was a surprise package from a relative I haven't spoken to in many years including some items that had belonged to my great grandparents. It was amazing to be able to have some things from them as they passed on many years ago. I don't see my long-distance family very often and it really touched me that they thought of me when they started dispersing itemsStarstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest

My greatest gift was a proper diagnosis for my mobility issues. What we thought was just sciatica for the last decade has turned out to be MS. I just took my dose of medication today, with minimal side effects so far. I am thankful to get the proper medication now.
I am also blessed that my husband is SO SUPPORTIVE. And, our newest Cardigan Welsh Corgi has the perfect temperament and intelligence to become my service dog. Zsa Zsa is doing so well with her training. She will also be a huge blessing to me going forward.Thanked by 1TennesseeRain -
My greatest gift this year happened in January 2021. My husband has a lung disease and only has 30% lung capacity and caught Covid. He was in the hospital for six days in isolation and everyone was thinking that he would not make it. He made it, thankfully, and even had better breathing after the plasma and antibody treatments. I am so very thankful for that!
@Maribo- Lady, you have gone through so much for that baby boy. What a miracle!
I am so happy for all of you and your incredible gifts and a little envious of those who got horses!Thanked by 1TennesseeRain -
I am thankful that my sister, brother-in-law, and their three-month-old son came into town for Christmas. I finally got to see him in person after many photos and videos. He is getting chubby and healthy and is a happy baby. My sister did things right during her pregnancy. I held him despite fearing I would drop him. Even better, our grandpa got to meet another great grand. He's our last grandparent alive, so I cherish time spent with him. I liked not having to open presents over Skype.
I got good physical gifts, including German-language music CDs. Hooray for language learning! Still, I look back on family getting together with even warmer mind.
P.S. The only closed license I have is Ice 17. Thanks, no-longer-secret pal!Post edited by Treble at 2021-12-31 19:12:45Game number 273531

I am really enjoying all the stories everyone has shared! Some are very heart warming and emotional. Gifts and blessings can come in many different forms. The joy you experience is even better when you get to share it with others.
I started giving out a few straws. I will be contacting those I have horses for individually once I breed my pastures. Ill post your horses in my private chat and add people one at a time to go get their horse. Ill most likely have one for each person however I got carried away with my gene pool so its hard to get foals that do not need a license. I may end up digging through my older herd for a few prizes.
I hope everyone continues to be blessed to the max in 2022!Thanked by 1Visions -
I am going to begin giving out prize horses by adding each of you a few at a time to my private chat to pick them up.
-
@Sharayah Stables you are up next to pick up your prize horse.

I'm just starting back here after a long hiatus and started reading this thread. Wow, @maribo congratulations your story moved me to tears as I went through my own infertility issues at one time. I have a beautiful 13 year old daughter and 9 year old son. Thanks to modern medicine. Enjoy every moment with your baby boy.
@visions The treatments for MS today are really fantastic. My sister (she's 62) was misdiagnosed for most of her life with fibromyalgia until about 4 years ago when she had an MRI. The medications have been life changing for her. Of course she still has flares but now there is a path forward. I wish you all the best in your treatment and with your support pup!
@OrionsStables I can't imagine how scary that must've been for you both. I'm so glad your husband recovered!
My greatest gift this season was just spending time with both family by blood and the family you choose. I have an amazing group of ladies in my neighborhood and we all are there to help out and pull each other up. My son was diagnosed with autism (high functioning) and ADHD this past Spring. It answered many questions but raised just as many. My family and friends have been there for me when I hit my mommy max or I just need to cry, no judgement.
Oh and a little something lighthearted my hubby got me a Bluetooth coffee mug that keeps my coffee (or tea) at a consistent temperature as I have a terrible habit of making my coffee, setting it down and forgetting about it for upwards to an hour. Now I don't have to nuke it! That mug is totally awesome!Thanked by 1OrionsStables -
I love reading yalls stories! My greatest gift this season was having a new start at having a family and community. I've been dating what I believe is my soul mate for 6 months and his family and friend group has enveloped me. My own family is fraught with pain and dysfunction so I can't remember a Christmas season that was restful with them. This year, however, was full of joy and it was so wonderful to see how things will progress as we make our own family one day.
Gift wise, my little brother got me a set off throwing knives that I'm very excited about!

Great stories everyone! My favorite gifts this year was bluetooth wireless earbuds that I can use for going the treadmail, yoga or just simply sitting in my bed and watching videos! My second favorite gift is a gift card to my favorite tack store to buy some new jodphurs (AKA Thicker and warmer breeches). I hope to continue riding this year, I love the barn I go to and the horse I ride. I really hope COVID could end soon enough so I can go to horse shows and do everything I really wanted to do before COVID. Fun fact, I started riding because my dance classes were too high risk, I want COVID to end but not my riding!
My ID is in my signature, and I am only licensed for height regulator so I can only get straws from chocolate saturn and white on black.Post edited by crazysnakelady at 2022-01-21 17:31:46ID # 273464

Sorry for the lag in responding as it takes quite a while to dish out horses one at a time. I am now going to move on to the next few in line for prizes. I hope this year continues to bring all of you blessings!
