First day of breeding and I have been lucky enough to snag not just one, but two chimeras.

The first was from my non licensed fantasy gene stud I have made available to the public. Initially he was only as good as his sire. A one percent boost made him superior, but it took the full five percent in total to make him an A paper (I don't breed 2nd gen B's even if they are superior). I figured he was worth the boosts.

I think this is my first 3rd gen chimera, she passed breeding advice and tested superior to her dam, but failed strict breeding advice. It took three one percent boosts for her to pass. Once again, I figured she was worth it.

Is it just random chance that this happens, or does it pass from a parent who has it?

@lecobb8 it is a random chance, but the chance gets slightly higher when one of the parents is a chimera. I don't remember the numbers exactly, but normally it is a 1 in 10.000 chance or something and with a chimera parent a 1 in 8.000 chance or something. Still very very rare.

Congrats! Instead of starting off breeding right away this season I realized that since I had 100 stallions 3+ that I would do a MAJOR stallion cull beforehand. It's painful =))
