Gulastra Plume?
-
I feel kind of silly asking this.... but could someone explain what GP is? I often see people mentioning it and I keep forgetting to ask about it.
Thanks in advance!-- Katie -- -
Please don't feel silly for asking. It's not a common thing in the world or in the game.
Gulastra Plume is a hidden gene; it doesn't show up on the gene test. It is based on a pattern shown by offspring of the real-life Arabian stallion, Gulastra.
The horse at the left of the top row on this page shows Gulastra Plume in a real horse.

Bay-based (bay, buckskin, brown) horses that carry two copies of the gene will show a lightening of the tail from the bottom to white or light gray. Buckskins with a single copy of the gene (in the game only) will show some minor lightening of the tail and a few white strands in the mane.
An example of Gulastra Plume from the game.

Also, don't get it confused with what Splash or any of the Whites does to a horse. Splash also makes white tails, but as you can see in the horse above that SandyCreekAcres has posted, it does not have splash, yet it shows the white tail. You will see more Splash tails then GP tails in the game. Was Rebecca Iavelli on the old forum

Think! - It's not illegal yet. -
That's pretty neat actually! Thank you both :)
Is it something that can occur in other colours like chestnut as well?-- Katie -- -
Chestnut and Black horses may carry the gene, but it affects bay-based colors.
