Why would a horse get archived? he was my best stallion.

Could be kind of off, but I believe they get archived when they die but have foals.

He passed from old age - at the beginning of every new HAJ year, you get notifications of your horses that pass away. They go to the archive if they have foals, so the pedigrees can be accurate.

I have no way of telling, but I'm pretty sure he was nowhere near old enough to die. he was still breeding nicely. And most of his foals had the fantasy genes too.
Oh well, that will teach me to get straws.

I'm pretty sure he was 18/19 and they can die anytime after 17. I have straws from him that I can send you :)

If you go to the "records" tab ; you ll see he has 344 foals and you sold him to Menstrosity in October; even if you created him as a foal in Jun of 2020 that would make him 10 in June of 2021 and 17 in January 2022

And yes, I'd like to buy a couple straws. (name the straws with some name i will recognize please. I've got straws i collected way back when I first started and don't know what was the reason i wanted them.

Once they've turned 17, they have a chance of aging out of the game at every new year. Forty is the absolute maximum age, but very, very few horses ever get that far. There has evidently been a bug that allowed horses to be older than 40, but Ammit has posted an announcement that that is going to be fixed.

The oldest horse currently in my stable is 33.

Including that one, I have a total of 8 that are over 30. This is in a stable with 9,374 horses.

What does re=register mean?

Re-register means that the horse had a previous owner who has left the game. You can pay to re-register the horse, making you the breeder of the horse. On the horses' page it will then show your name at the 'bred by' instead of a blank space.

don't feel bad, I neutered 2 fancy horses gifted to me in the first few days of being here
