I always wanted to be a guide, or work on a dude ranch taking people out to see the things you can only see on the back of a horse, You know what I'm talking about.
I love seeing the look on people's faces, the awe of how beautiful a place is when you see it on horseback. I remember the first time I seen wild horses , I was riding my Anglo mare, she stood completely still and watched a Stallion with two mares go on by us .
not 50 feet from us, was breathtaking.

I think I already have one of the best ones, although it's a volunteer job, so I only get paid with the satisfaction of being able to do it. I'm a volunteer with and the board president of a therapeutic riding organization that gives riding and driving lessons to children and adults with disabilities, and have been for many years.

I work as a Stable hand when I'm home from college. I absolutely love it. It was my first job ever and I have been coming back to this one specific barn each year. The horses are sometimes troublesome little goofballs, but they usually use their manners, and my coworkers are so fun to hang out with. : )

I have a pretty sweet deal right now, actually. I work and ride for a reining trainer in the mornings, then I work as a general hand for a western pleasure trainer in the afternoons. My housing is taken care of by the wp trainer, but I still earn a little bit there, plus I get to play around with one of their personal horses. It is interesting to see how different training methods work for different trainers, and which methods stay the same across the board!

I've been watching Friesian horses on youtube (#followtheherd) and I definitely wouldn't want to be an inseminator! Lol!
The horse dentist was pretty cool though.
