I got lucky
-
I planned my breedings some weeks ago (I use spreadsheets) and I am usually careful about potential lethal crosses. When I was breeding a few horses today I noticed that I had planned a cross between a Trick or Treat stallion with sb1 and w2, and a Good China mare with w20 and sb1. The w2 crossed with w20 carries a low risk and the w2 with sb1 carries a moderate risk of a dead foal. I don't think I intended for this to happen but I decided to risk it. Not only did I get a healthy mare but she also passed strict breeding advice. I am very lucky.

Congratulations! She's a lovely filly. Sometimes, with a potentially risky cross, you can get lucky. I'm glad that happened for you.

She's gorgeous! Congratulations :)

She is adorable! If she ever needs a new home, I've got a warm, cozy stall that she would fill nicely! :)Specializing high quality dark horses with lots of chrome.

Frame increases the risk. So extra lucky! :DNeed to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

Yes - after you explained how every white hair increases the risk I know how very lucky I was that I didn't get a dead foal. With the new strict breeding most of my foals have been getting the snip so her passing strict breeding advice was, to coin a phrase, the cherry on the top.
