You can have a mare who is a show horse or a mare that is a nice relaxed brood mare in the pasture but not both. You have to pick.

I show all my mares until they hit the pastures ( usually around 4 or 5 years old ) once they are in pasture they stay there until they age out or 19, I ll pop them in a show barn if i have room, until they age out of the game. A mare gives her bonus to her foals either with better papers, PT score ,BA / SBA testing or Comp Testing ; Its all part of the Algorithm Ammit built into the game years ago;

@Ammit Someone told me that you can take a mare out of a pasture to show as long as you return it before the end of the game day without loosing the pasture bonus. Can you confirm this? If it is true, can you remove her to flush her or AI breed her and still retain the pasture bonus if you return her by the end of the game day?

I am pretty sure there is a "Built in" 15 day pasture bonus on AI foals and Embryos ; if your mare has 30 days or more she would still only get the 15 day bonus. Yes you can pull them show them and pop them back into pasture the same day without them loosing the bonus ; but why? you should aim for 3 or 4 show horses per breeding horse to carry the breeding horses

I pulled them in and out for a while, but it wasn't really worth it. It was time consuming and you have to have barn space available, and I would rather fill that space with more show horses.
