I'm thinking of turning in all of my smaller barns for IVs and getting another 1000-stall barn, but first I want to know if getting rid of the small barns would put me under the threshold to make the 1000-stall barn cheaper. Right now it says: "You have 3720 non primary barn stalls. You pay an extra 100% on stalls." So, what's the cutoff? Would it be worth getting rid of the smaller barns or would I be better off keeping them and paying the full 100% extra for the new barn?

Every stall you get rid of drops the price. Yes getting rid of them first will make your 1k barn cheaper. :)

Huh? So what is the cutoff? I was about to purchase more barns, but if I can get a discount on a big one I’ll just save and wait.

Thanks, @Ammit. I think I'll do that then. I was just worried that if the threshold to start paying 100% more was at 3000 stalls or so, I might get rid of all my smaller barns and still pay the full amount for a new one.

@BlessedByBrigid, It's not a discount per se that I was asking about. It's the increased cost you have to pay for any new barns purchased with IVs the more stalls you have. I was wondering how many stalls I would have to get rid of to get under the 100%-extra bracket.

I have 4350 non primary barn stalls and I pay 123% at the moment :)

@Nightphoenix, Ouch. I had no idea it could go over 100%. I don't know why. Somehow in my innocence I believed that would be the cap. Thanks for the warning. :)

@CLynnRose It actually isn’t as bad as it sounds! By the time you get to that percentage, your daily payout is most likely big enough that it’s not much of a problem except for the 1000 stall barns :)

I pay an extra 270% on stalls. I think I'm gonna have to sell some horses so I can sell some barns.

Yup the price is based on how much money you can be making per week with those stalls. It takes about the same amount of time to save for each successive barn regardless of how big it is.

Right now I pay an extra 186% on stalls. A 1000 stall barn would cost me 952 IVs, not that I would buy one of those. I usually buy the 210 stall barns when I want to expand.
