how does the shamrock gene work?

it looks like I won a couple shamrock genes. heretofore I haven't done anything with fantasy at all, so I am clueless. thanks in advance for your thoughts and valuable suggestionsI am Fiddler, my pronouns are she/her

The phantom genes like Shamrock work well with white markings. Splash, tobiano, and the White genes show the pattern the best. Generally, the more white, the better it shows. Sometimes rerollinga portrait gets you a better pattern.
My stallion's does not show well due to light white and his chimera coat.

Appaloosa white hides phantom genes so chose any appaloosas carefully as well.Need to contact me? Read this first.

That looks like a great choice! I’ve noticed that tobiano horses with about half white show phantom genes very nicely :)
Edit: I meant the pattern. @Humboldt is correct. That horse is lined, you will not be able to use it.
You have to use an unbred foundation to add RGS genes.#243786

Correct, only foundations can be RGS.
When I want to use the RGS, I normally creat a horse using a herd helper that will get me the genes I want on a foundation. There are a bunch to tobiano herd helpers that could get you what you are looking for.Post edited by Humboldt at 2022-04-03 07:36:36#243786

Correct, only those who own the license can breed to horses with the gene. If the foals are spayed or gelded then they can be sold to those who do not own the gene.#243786
