How'd I End Up With a Sport Pony?

I got this from my pasture today:
15601291
Adult height will be 14.1 hands.
Sire is 15.0 hands, while dam is 14.3, so I thought final height would be somewhere between the two.
Has anyone else had this happen?

Each parent must have a hidden range they can throw as part of their genetics besides their actual height.

Because grandpa is a sport pony, so those shorter genes are there. I've had riding horses throw warmbloods also when there's a WB ancestor close in the pedigreeStarstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest
