Edit to add. You can make and AI embryo with one particular mare every 5 days on the game if you have a basic upgrade. Then the embryo goes in storage to be used at a later date. Pretty much the same rules apply as for pulling eggs however there is a 5 day minimum between making those embryos, that counter does not get reset at the end of the month. Eggs are nicer for about a dozen reasons, but it’s a nice option to have for basic upgrades.

You also have slightly better odds of a good quality foal from using the breeding lab to offset the increased cost.

Wow, I just checked the advanced breeding page and sure enough, I have options to make and implant embryos! All this time I thought embryos was strictly a premium upgrade thing. I always thought basic upgrade accounts could only use straws for live birth. Or maybe at the time it was the cost that made my brain make up that excuse. ;)
