Just getting around to sorting last year's babies...

...And I was surprised and thrilled to have this boy paper A, and then I saw his gene test results. I had thought for sure he was going to be silver grullo or something, but he's a hom sooty, hom DP chocolate palomino! He's so pale, and he doesn't even have platinum! I remember catching a glimpse of him as I took all my foals out of pasture, and I thought that shoulder patch was maybe a patch of brindle. But now I see it's just the ND1 markings. I think the contrast looks even cooler isolated by white like that, and I just love what ND1 does with dun.
