I THINK I noticed that when you GMT lined horses, some genes can't/won't change. I presume this is not true about Foundation Horses but only horses whose parents have limited gene pools?
Is that right? I've only done a tiny bit of dabbling, as you might understand those HB's are precious.

Yes that is true. Foundation horses are not limited to what you can GMT on them (well besides fantasy genes)Licensed for Mushroom,Onyx, Watercolor, Ice 13, ice 16, Phantom lace, Phantom Diamond sparkle.Thanked by 1Fiddler

Do tell, are there limits to Fantasy Genes that you can put on a foundation horse?

You're only limited by the number of alleles within each gene. There are like 15 phantom genes, but each set of genes on a horse can only accommodate 2 separate phantom alleles.

Also on fantasy except for chocolate you do have to purchase from the gene sale, so that's an additional limitation. Unless I'm forgetting one chocolate is the only one available in the lab.Thanked by 1Fiddler

Hieght Regulator is also available in the lab ; am pretty sure that would be Fantasy ? ( Could be comepltely wrong but i dont know of any insta shrink anywhere but Willie Wonka's Factory )

I forgot about that one! I don't think there are currently any breeds of horses that small (but I'm not familiar with every single one so I could be wrong) so that probably counts.Thanked by 1Fiddler

Height over 14.2 AND bone over 2.5 makes a draft horse. Height under 14.2 AND bone over 2.5 makes a cob.
