    can i use my stallion to fertilize this egg? or do i have to make straws from him?

    Am pretty sure you need to create the embryo and then implant it

    so i did it and got a colt, what would be the advantage to implant the embryo into one of my mares, rather than the way i did it?
    (just 'create an embryo')

    You would have had to go to the Advanced Breeding Lab and then to the Create an Embryo page. Is that how it worked? Did you start out from the stallions page and go to In House Breeding?

    I started from advanced breeding and tried it again and this time, it stored the embryo and then I implanted it into a mare, so the second time I think it worked the way it was supposed to

    You did something to confuse yourself. The creation of a foal always requires a mare. No way to do so without. :)

    Looking at your logs you did the same thing twice.
