I'm still pretty new to the game(haven't even been playing for a year yet) so the Sea Pony event is brand new to me.
How long does it last?
The leaderboard on the horse creation page has double- and triple-digit numbers beside the player names. I'm assuming that those numbers are points, but I'm not sure. What, exactly, do those numbers mean?
"Luck runs out after 5 sea ponies created" - does this mean 5 per day, or 5 over the course of the whole event(assuming that the event is longer than one day)?

Any help with these and any ensuing questions is much appreciated!

The sea pony event lasts for the entire month of July.

I'm only seeing 1 for Ammit and 0 for the others listed on the leaderboard, but the number indicates the number of sea ponies the player has created.

The beginner's luck runs out after 5 total sea ponies created over the course of the month.

do you have to create new horses to get sea ponies?

@Fiddler ; yes it is a random roll of the dice when you create new foundations ; no lined horses can have it.

It's definitely luck of the draw so far I've created 179 foundi and have gotten 0 sea ponies

Can I piggy back on your question? I assume if you use the GMT they go back to being regular horses? Also I noticed that they can't be sold, but it looks like they can be suctioned?

I have no desire to sell mine and I don't want to lose it for a GMT either :)) Just curious how it all works

@Starstruck2 , yes if you use the GMT they are then "normal" creates. I am not sure if they can be Suctioned , but they can be Auctioned lol

I see that the list has many people who have more than 5 seaponies. Is that a lifetime thing? I thought we could only get 5 (none for me so far)

As I read it, I believe that newer players with low daily showing bonuses have a better chance of getting sea ponies than older players with large daily showing bonuses have, until they have created 5 sea ponies, when they revert to the general odds of a1 in 30 chance of getting one.

Those odds do not mean, however that if you create 30 horses you're guaranteed to have 1 sea pony. Those are the odds every time you create a horse.

I saw as I created horses that a couple were sea ponies, but I can't find them. I've tried "sea" and "pony" in the name and in the tattoo but can't get them to come up.

they don't have a tattoo. You will have to look through your horses to find them. Try viewing the barn in the search.

I don't usually name my ponies at creation as I am not sure I will keep them. However, I have found it useful to name the candy & sea ponies at creation with a name that ties into candy or sea for when I want to go find them to utilize the GMT.

The thought of crawling through my barns is depressing.
Wild, even if you name your horses something distinct to help you manage them, a new owner can rename them.

@OopsDotCom, You can see what your candy/sea ponies are named here: https://www.huntandjump.com/candy_turnin.php

Then go to the search and look for that. A bit of a pain but not that tedious. Though it only works for ponies not yet turned in for the GMT.
