Pastures can't be purchased for game money, because they're one of the things that puts a financial strain on the servers. But if you don't want to spend real money, you can ask another player to buy a pasture for you in exchange for hbs.

And if you want to ask another player to buy it for you, the exchange rate is about 100k - 150k hbs per real-life dollar. Just post an ISO ad with what you're looking for and how much you're willing to pay. Another player might agree to do it for you and post a "payment pony" for you to purchase from them for the price you agreed on to make the payment.

The best way to make money in the game is by showing your horses. It helps to build up a collection of neutered horses and show them twice every week. If you can get a share of the Exceptional Show Horse rank special, all the horses you create with it will have Performance Test Scores between 10.0 and 10.4.

Your account may still be young enough that each horse you create will already have some Showing Points, which are the basis of the nightly showing bonus you receive. Building up your total showing points is how you increase that nightly bonus.
