    KP needs to be HOM along with 2 Kit genes to show the patches.

    "KP2 is found at the same location as KP. It requires one copy of KP2 and one copy of a KIT mutation to activate. It interacts with most markings except appaloosa and roan. Visible markings are required for it to show. If two KIT mutations and KP are present the two genes will strongly react."
