Manual pasture breeding trigger
-
If you check out your pasture you will now see a stat box. It tells you how many breedable mares are in your pasture and gives you an estimate of what they will cost to breed. If you click the breed all your pastures button, your pastures will trigger and breed all your pasture foals and send you an email. If you add more mares at a later date you can trigger it again. (keep in mind you may get different email results sometimes ties or the new foals may replace your best foal). You can run it as many times as you want. You still only get bonuses based on how long the mares are in the pasture so mares added later won't have as strong as foals but it still is a rapid way to breed them.
I know what most of you will be doing once you read this so ENJOY!
Pastures will still run automatically on the 14th and the new button will still work after that date.Post edited by Ammit at 2014-09-08 18:08:58Need to contact me? Read this first.

This is great! Thank you very much.
Question. You said, "You still only get bonuses based on how long the mares are in the pasture so mares added later won't have as strong as foals". How long do mares have to be in pastures to get bonuses? I'm sorry if this was covered elsewhere. I don't remember anything about it."Time is nothing to a cat when he is dancing." Esther Averill -
Fir Tree Shadow, mares gain a bonus for each day they are in their pasture, up to a maximum of 30 days. I believe the bonus is added at rollover game time.Imation Stud ID# 2609

I really like this. I bred my two pastures separately by removing the stallions from my long pedigree gold/star pasture so I could get the best foal email for my foundation pasture. Then I put the boys back in and bred the long pedigree pasture and got the best foal email from them. I haven't decided if I am going to switch mares for a second round of pasture foals this season, but I like having the possibility open.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.

If I do not breed with the button, will the pastures still auto breed later in the season?

Will stallions also produce better foals if they remain in the pasture?Thanked by 1zzahra84

Lone Pine Creek, from what I understand the bonus is only based upon the length of time the mare has spent at pasture.Imation Stud ID# 2609

How long until the baby is born?
-
In regular breeding, foals are born almost immediately after you name them and click the button to breed the chosen stallion and mare together.
In pasture breedings, foals will be born sometime in the middle of the breeding season, around the 14th of the month. However, if you click the button to breed your pastured mares earlier than that, the foals are born as quickly as the game server can match up the mares with the available stallions. The larger the pasture and the more stallions there are, the longer the delay may be, but it really doesn't take long at all, unlike real-life, where you have to wait 11 months. :D -
If you have 2 stallions in a pasture will the mare/stallion cross be randomly chosen?
