What Testing Should I Do Before Auction?
-
I have an evenly-bred third-gen foal that I am considering auctioning. I do breeding advice with every foal and color testing on those that pass breeding advice, but I seldom do papers and PT. Does the absence of those two things affect what you bid on?
Foal in question:

Licensed for Ice 9, 13, 17, and 18, Shatterglass, Nacre, Paintbrush Cool, Axiom Blue, Chinchilla, and Watercolor
Breeder of Black Tobiano, Sabino, and Bay Kit M

the more tests you do, the more likely it is that your good foals will get sold. If I can't see its genetics, or its PT, I wouldn't bid as much or take the chance. Of course, testing doesn't guarantee a sale.
If I'm buying a young stud, I want to know its level because it matters.
