The ranks for Herd Helpers are an indication of how rare or complex they are. Rank 1 contains the most common and simplest colors/patterns. Of the regular Herd Helpers, Rank 5 contains the rarest and most complex combinations. Rank Special are herd helpers that only appear extremely. Ammit has often created them for special occasions. They do sometimes appear as a Daily Herd Helper, but this very seldom happens .

As the ranks increase in number, the number of horses you can create with one of your own decreases, as does the number of shares available for others and the number of horses each share gives.
