Just wanted to make an appreciation/admiration post for all the older horses out there in the game and the beauty they share. I ended up losing my oldest last night so I only have 1 to share right now. Picked this lovely mare up, changed her tack, and now she spends the rest of her life with me. Hoping to keep her round for a while but when the time comes, she’ll spend it with all the other horse friends she’s made at the barns @};-

Here's my oldest, after the latest visit of the grim reaper. She's 40 years old, and still going strong. As a sign of respect, she's finally been given a name: Splash of Chianti.

my oldest horse, she's 29 ! she's also my very first gift exchange horse! boy I was surprised! I thought she was the only gift i was going to get!

My oldest is this 34 year-old spayed mare. I've had her through a few rollovers now, and I'm hoping she sticks around for a while.

The title of this thread intrigued me. Was it about respecting those of us who are, shall we say, players who are mature in years? Or was it about respecting the wisdom of those players who have spent many years addicted to this game? =))

I have two 35 year olds, neither of which was named anything hilarious by the name generator. :)

I'm not too far behind you Fiddler. Luckily, this game has a very respectful membership, no matter what our chronological ages are. But I agree - I need respect! :)

:D I have you both beat--I'm 76. My husband and I gave a nod to our 50th wedding anniversary at the end of September (literally the end--on the 30th).

My boy Liveration just passed too. I think he was 39, so was expected. He was made 10 days before Covid Shut Down. Feels like ages ago!
