    You can now purchase any gene license at any time. This offer is for the license only and you still have to wait for the RGS to buy it for an actual horse. You can also buy a license for another player.

    Oh man, I've wanted this for ages! So many times I bought the gene just for the license but didn't really want it on my current gmt project. This will be great to pick up those last few I need. Then I don't have to worry about not being able to buy a horse just because of one gene it has. And I can add a few genes to my lines without having to wait for them to come up and then invest in a whole new gmt project. Thanks so much! :)

    To clarify, let's say I buy a gene now, for $x.

    When it comes available in the RGS, I'll pay another $x to get it on a horse?

    Buying a gene and buying a license are different things. If you want to buy a gene for a horse you still do that the same way as always. It may help you to look at the gene purchase page. :)

    @lecobb, when someone is selling their fantasy horses, now you have the gene and can buy the horse, also, when they come up in the auction, you'll be able to buy them..

    Ok, if I understand correctly, I just have to buy the licences for the genes that I don't have I will then be able to buy horses with this gene/licence from other players.

    Correct. You still have to pay full price and wait for it to come on sale to be able to get an actual copy of the gene for your own foundation, but if you just want to be able to buy from other players you can get just the license at any time at a discount.

    This is awesome! Just a suggestion I think It’d be convenient if it said some where on the buy page if we already own the license or not
    (I’m aware we can see what we own on the member page already)
