How do you get a nexus horse. I really want one and it is on my Christmas wish list. So far out of all the Nexus horses i have seen, this stallion is my favorite. But still, I would love to have one or know how to create them.

That horse is Axiom which is different then Nexus. You can not randomly create a horse with a fantasy/limited gene such as nexus. You will need to buy a nexus horse to be able to breed more. Axiom are closed genes and therefore you need to purchase a copy onto your own foundation horse during a special promotion to be then able to buy/breed more.

These genes very rarely come up for sale, for real money. Ammit had them available for a limited time during the Thanksgiving celebration, but that ended Monday.

You get them just as Tawny Eclipse said, by purchasing the genes directly from Ammit for your own foundation horse. Since they are closed genes, no one COULD sell them to you if you don't already own your own foundations with those genes.

If you're talking about Nexus though, that's not a closed gene. They show up in the auction house sometimes.

there are 2 sets of Nexus, the first set can be sold or auctioned, but the second set is closed and intact foals may only be bought by members that have a horse that was a foundation of the later sets

That is incorrect. There is only one nexus gene. There is nexus and axiom.

Sorry Ammit, I worded that wrong, what I meant was that the first release of Nexus was not closed but the releases after the first one were closed, at least that was my understanding.

I thought all Nexus are open? It would be next to impossible to tell the difference between first release Nexus and subsequent releases of the gene anyway?

I'm sorry I didn't explain it well enough for you. I will try again.

First off, there is a gene called nexus, it is represented as nx in the genome.

In heterozygous form (one copy of nexus) it looks like this:

In homozygous form it looks like this:

Nexus is an open gene. This means that anybody can own it. However, nexus is also a fantasy gene which means there are selling restrictions. Open fantasy genes can be sold in the auction and in chat rooms, not in the sales. You as a player who does not own nexus may try to purchase it in these ways.

What others are confused about was that nexus was being over bred and the quality was poor. Ammit, the game owner decided to start a new breeding project for nexus called the shooting star breeding group. This allowed players to purchase (with money) the nexus gene to be put onto their own foundation horse (this is a horse that is the first of the generation with no horses before it in the bloodlines). People in the shooting star group may not sell their nexus horses to people who are not in the shooting star group.

Axiom was purchased by players with real money during special events, just recently was the American thanksgiving event. Axiom is a closed gene which means that if you haven't purchased the gene yourself you may not own an intact copy of the gene. Just recently, non owners of closed genes can now own altered (spayed/geldings) with the genes. Altered can be bought through the auction or in chat rooms. Intact must be sold in the chat rooms to others who own the genes already.

In heterozygous form they look they same as nexus does:

These colours can be mixed to create of colours:
Magenta

TE 1 B Diamonds Forever

Yellow

XP Starfire Yellow Axiom

When breeding nexus and axiom together the result looks the same as they do when heterozygous.

I hope this clears up nexus and axiom for you. Watch the auctions each time they run (sunday, tuesday and thursday for the public auction) and you may be lucky and find some altered fantasy stock being sold. Or you can advertise in the forums that you are looking to buy some. You are allowed to buy intact nexus horses and altered axiom horses.
