Wanting smaller blanket pattern
-
Is there a way to get her a smaller blanket pattern? Do I just need to reroll till I get what I want, or is there something I can add/take away in the GMT lab that would help?

You can reroll if you want to try for a slightly smaller blanket. Het PATN1 can still have quite a range in how extensive the blanket is. If you want to remove it entirely, you can GMT off the other PATN1. Even without PATN1 there can sometimes be a small patch on the rump with a spot or two.
-
I think instead of re rolling I would re Seed ; you ve made some changes genetically that should result in a smaller blanket
-
Isn't rerolling the same as getting a new image seed?
-
Thanks everyone, I have been trying the rerolling and re seed. It’s still about the same. Not wanting to take off the PATN1, I don’t want the blanket that small. She’s ok the way she is, I just prefer a little smaller blanket. :)

Rerolling is not something found in the game anymore. From the horse page:
Horse Image Control Panel
Refresh Image
Refreshing an image will update tack, aging functions, and everything else aside from the horse's actual coat and markings.
Regenerate Image
Regenerate an image when you want to completely rebuild your horse's image. Use this if new genes are not appearing or you wish to update your horse to new texture generation.
Get New Image Seed
Getting a new seed will completely regenerate your horse's image and reroll all the random numbers. They will get new markings and coat appearance.
Price is 100 hbs per new seed.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

I would remove her Pattern 1 gene and see what the result is. Chances are she's got some hidden genes that do not show up on foundations when you GMT them, so there is no way to remove them. They will show up on future generations.
-
@cheshirefarms there are genes that don't show up? how can that be?
-
@Fiddler DP, Gulastra Plume, Kit Promoter, Snowflake and PATN1 use to be hidden way back in the day before Ammit made them visible in the gene testing results.
If I'm not mistaken there was a PATN2 at one point that wasn't/isnt visible but I don't know if it's still hidden or if it's still in the game.
Here is a horse who was GMTed with the PATN2 changed to PATN1.
Snow Bird
Given that Mountainview has already removed a PATN1 off of one of the strands and the remaining PATN strand is still PATN1, I highly doubt that PATN2 is the case here. -
thank you!
