Last year HaJ did a candy collection event a coupl eof times ; you earned x number of candies per day on random pages ; there was prizes given at the end of the event , one of which was multiple GMT's or "changes" to a horse :)
Unfortunately , last year the server kept bogging down with the number of creates for GMT's so the limits were activated :)

Candy event happens twice a year in October and December. It is one per account per day because of how easy they are to create. That way smaller accounts have a good chance of getting some. This is not new. That has been the limit on candies for several years now.

During the sea pony GMT event you have no limit to how many you can get per day, though there is a limit of 250 creates per day total that is always in place.

I inevitably run out of barn space even with the cap :))

I just need to say that that's not the case. I always hand-created all my creates. It only takes about a half hour to fill a large barn if you just hit refresh while watching tv or whatever. I spent years saving hbs to buy two 1000-stall barns for the purpose of create sprees. It was nice to be able to sit down and do a bunch of creates a couple times a month. The random chance of creating something amazing is one of my favorite parts of the game. I love that we can add completely new horses to the game anytime. I made a point of saving for barns because I was sad when I started out that I would run out of space and miss out during special events or HH shares and have to yum horses to create more. Now I miss out still because right when I have the space to use, there's a cap. :( But at least I can still use those barns for show horses instead.

@Fiddler Oh, sell back to the game. The HuntAndJump Auction Bidder used to be named the Fuji Something Yum Yum Corporation or something that I forget, so people would say they "yummed" horses that they had sold back.

I always hand created my ponies. Never did use a program to do it for me. To me it's slightly addictive. ;)

@Clynnrose Thank! I've known what "yumming" meant, but had no idea where it came from.
