Don't understand records. - Resolved
-
When I look at the records, I see 266 multiple times. Doe that mean it's not getting more points? No more income? What should I know when I see this?

As long as the horse is alive the total points it has accumulated will be what brings in your Show Bonus every night. Total points are on the horses main (picture) page, below the picture.
This horse has levelled off. He will still get a teeny bit of training from every training session, but not as much as he did when he was younger, and it will take lots of training sessions before he moves up in his classes. It looks like he levelled off on October 23rd. That was the last day he had a big jump in his show scores.

That number is his show score, not the points earned. The show score determines where the horse will place compared to the other horses in the particular show. The placement determines how many points are earned. The show score doesn't have to increase from show to show for the horse to potentially still be placing 1st each time and earning points.Thanked by 1OopsDotCom

Where do the earnings fit into the picture? I've never understood that. Is that his show winnings?
-
Earnings is the difference between the prize for winning the show and the cost to enter. The daily showing bonus doesn't figure into it, but it's the daily bonus that's your main income from show horses. Earnings are usually ignored by most players, I think.Thanked by 1OopsDotCom

If the earnings come from winning shows, where does the daily payout come from?
I appreciate your time, I'm finally understanding. -
Daily payout is calculated by taking 75% of the horse's total lifetime points (giving you the horse's weekly total of payout) and dividing that number by 7 (to give you the horse's daily payout).
So for example, the horse you linked in the first post has 771 total points. The math would look like this: 771*0.75=578.25, then 578.25/7=82.61, so rounded up you get the daily payout of 83 that you see on his page. -
Daily payout is just a payment based on the total points you hold. It's sort of artificial, you wouldn't get it in RL, but Ammit decided on it a long while back to encourage keeping show herds, I think. It was already a major part of the game when I started but I seem to remember reading it wasn't always.

Actually, it is based on the prestige and income big show barns bring in, in real life, from things like lessons and training. So it is something you get in real life.Need to contact me? Read this first.
