Yep! I am so tempted to max them all, if I can afford it. Maybe I'll paper them all first and max the C/Yellows and then see if any B/Reds can make it on their own. I'll probably put it off just a bit longer though. I don't want to see any of them snipped!

@boredaf, Nexus inverts the colors so I've always made a point of using red/orange base coats in my nexus lines because I love the rich blue colors. My first nexus line was non-sooty DP wild bay so it would have that rich cherry red color to make a nice bright blue. These are all gray silver classic champanges with sooty+ which creates a sort of golden orange color, so when it's inverted it comes out with deep blues. I spent some time taking horse pictures into a photo editor and inverting the colors just to get a preview of what base coats would get closest to the shade of blue I wanted. I'm not sure the game uses exactly the same algorithm, but the results have come out pretty much the same. Here's an example of a gray silver classic champange and then inverted:

@boredaf, Try aiming for really pale palominos and buttermilk buckskins. Something very light and yellowish, so no sooty (though DP can make the color a little richer.)

Becomes something like this (the flaxen here is making the mane and tail really dark):



Pale buckskin works nicely as well, though a little trickier to get a consistent pale yellow color:



This is a pale silver buckskin, the silver is making the mane and tail and points gray, otherwise they would be almost white:
