Question about Grey Reduction

I understand that you need 2 copies of the gene for it to grey out slow, but what happens if you only have1 copy? Does it act like normal grey?
Just making sure I understand it right before I add it -
Gray reduction is a recessive allele, not incomplete dominant, so I think het gray reduction has no effect. Just to double-check, I did a few searches and that looks to be the case.
