Papering has been updated with two new levels, double and triple star, and gold.

Star and gold papers start well below the breeding cap. It is the same distance from the start of A to the start of *star as it is from the start of *star to the start of **star. This is true for all paper levels.

The natural breeding cap falls halfway in between **star and ***star. (And **gold and ***gold)

Triple star/gold can only be obtained by boosting over the cap.

I am hoping the double and triple star/gold system provides new goals and helps members better understand improvement in their lines.

So to clarify, if one were to breed a pair of boosted horses which were ***Star and ***Gold, the best result would be **Star/Gold? Or am I misunderstanding something?

You can not breed a triple star or gold-papered horse. You can only get them by boosting.

This is going to be great for those of us breeding 4th gen and up. Now we have a new goal, I can't wait to see where my horses are at

Of all the updates recently, this one must be my favorite! And just to clarify, if you breed a *** stallion to a *** mare, the foal will always maximum be ** (or less), since *** is above the natural breeding cap?

I have a similar question to @Herzeloyde and @DarkwatchStables

I did a horse search:
sorting by paper level
excluding those bred by member ID 11 (Hajinc University) to remove clones of potentially boosted horses
excluding any boost tattoos

The results still included some ***Gold and ***Star horses, which, if I’m understanding correctly, should not be possible? A non-clone, non-boosted horse out of some mix of ** and/or *** parents can never paper higher than **Gold or **Star?

"You can not breed a triple star or gold-papered horse. You can only get them by boosting." All *** horses in the game are boosted. Period. Most boosted horses are not clones.

This is awesome. I always got stuck once I hit Star and Gold before. I would just start from scratch when I got bored enough. This adds a lot more time and thought before leveling out again. Thank you for the update!

Oh I’m so excited about this! I was just thinking recently that it’s almost sad to paper my SBA horses over 5 Gen because I already know what they’re getting lol

This fixes that!
