Wah i got covid

    After managing to avoid it all this time, I've tested positive twice. I'm not super sick, just miserable enough that I'm not doing my normal activities. But i can stay in bed with my tablet and breed horses.
    I got the antivirals too.

    and fluids ; for the love of god please PLease drink twice what you think you need ; I lost almost 40 pounds when I had COVID , mostly becuase i wasnt drinking enough to keep a mouse alive

    Oh no I am so sorry to hear that. I had it about 6-weeks ago and it totally wiped me out, I still have what is now considered long-covid so I am not doing any exercise or anything strenuous.

    Sorry to hear that! Having COVID is definitely Not fun and It left me with some long term breathing problems after I had it. I was considered high risk because of my other medical problems, so it could have been worse. Yeah it's no fun, be sure to rest and remember to keep eating & drinking fluids. I hope you recover quickly!

    Hang in there! Definitely use the excuse to rest and get your breeding done lol

    I had omicron in winter 2021, I didn't have too hard a time with it outside of losing my taste and smell! And yes like annismyrph said make sure you take in a lot of fluids. Once I lost my sense of taste I just kept drinking as much of the nasty herbal tea that I could in the hopes that my taste would come back lol It was like a war of attrition but it came back after 2 or so weeks.

    Then the snot drainage... oh my lanta it was like pulling cords out of my nose I haven't experienced anything like it and I hope never to again.

    Thank goodness for paxlomid!
    I am just not that sick, i took the antivirals within 24 hours and it immediately changed the course of the illness

    Been taking your vitamins and lots of fluids? I know it's not super popular with a lot of people, but you might try cutting out a bit of the processed foods if you eat them. I know if I start eating a lot of them and a lot of sugar from them gets in to my diet, I start to feel crappy and my immune system goes downhill quickly.

    Depends on your weather, but I know here there's been a few years we've had greens under the snow. Just depends on how well you feel, and how long it takes to look. If you find some, don't boil them. Wilt them instead so you keep the nutrients.
