Last year we bashed out some very quick site layout edits to get the site at least usable on mobile. The current layout has never been great but it was what I could get with the time I had. The new updated template is finished and I have begun the conversion process.

Rather than flip the whole site at once I am mostly going through page by page. It is not just the layout that is changing but also a bunch of security stuff and user interface things as well.

Going forward, javascript will be required to use the site. I know we have a scant few users that occasionally use the site sans JS. Sorry for the inconvenience but I can not justify having to code everything twice for those few people. It's simply to expensive.

Pages are going to change to the new layout seemingly at random. There is a rhyme and reason to the order but it is simply back end stuff. Nothing really noteworthy or worth worrying about.

I love the new layout, especially how much better the twitter side bar fits in now. It's a fun but not complicated new look.

Haven't looked yet on the actual computer, but I like the layout on mobile. I ♡ the orange stripe, too - such a fun little detail to change!

Only one thing I'd miss... are there not going to be share and like buttons in the twitter sidebar anymore?

There is no twitter on the new one. Did not find it that useful.

Maybe this is the wrong place but could you maybe add a 'sent' or something like that to the new PM page? On my laptop nothing pops up to let me know my message was sent.

Everything looks lovely so far! I love the color and clarity of the page. The only question I have is about the little bell and envelop missing at the top of the page to let you know about new buddy chat activity. Is that something that will be put in later?
