New member looking for TIPS and a good, cheap starter horse.
-
Hi there, I'm a new member entirely to this site. I've never played before but I'm very interested in learning. I'm not sure what to look for in a good horse on here so any advice or tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

It's a good idea to start out with perfect foundations. You'll find both mares and stallions here for just over create price.

Perfect foundations have 100% breeding ability, 100% showing ability, and will score exactly the same thing both times they show in a week (Perfect Consistency) They make a great start while you're learning the game.
Check out the FAQ to get a good overview of the game. It's linked near the bottom of the left menu. -
Show horses are gold dust in this game, the more you have the better, and the higher their points the more they earn for you every day.
Don't forget to claim your new member pack either!
This game is really about long term planning, spend time looking about and decide what you'd like to breed for yourself, there's so many options!Thanked by 1JingoQuinn -
How do you claim the new member pack? I just started today.

Just post in the topic for new members and it should be automatic. As for what makes a good horse, lots of different horses are valued for various different reasons, a good plan is to always have the colt superior to the sire. If you have a pedigree with no improvement and say an b papered colt from an A papered sire and keeping intact just for colour that is really bad quality breeding. Of course if you never want to sell or and breed for your self it doesn't matter at all!
