We all know we end up with favorites each season - here are some of mine!

My overall favorite - a super high-gen chimera!
I think this is the second time I've bred a lined chimera (not merged one) and the other one was a 2nd gen

:)) definitely. My first big GMT project was my stallion Riften! He still pops up in my lines, so the Skyrim names keep coming!

I love Riften! It's got birch trees, dapple gray horses, and thieves in the sewers. What's not to love. :)

@RedtailFoxFarm every time I read one of these threads, I end up thinking oooh, I need to start a line that looks like that! Yours definitely made me think I needed to get some KP in the mix. Here is my current favorite from this season

@Heifer, do it! KP and KP2 are so pretty! I personally love KP2 with lace and rabicano. Also, that foal is so pretty!

I'm sure they will all do fantastic and eventually have beautiful foals! Goldens sire is 19 this season and Stones is 17 so I appreciate the help as I was a bit desperate to get a predecessor for some of my older boys

@Cherobird He’s super unevenly bred so it’s hard to tell. I think the lowest gen in his pedigree is somewhere around 12 and the highest is maybe somewhere around 40. Most of his pedigree is in the mid-20s gen range I think. Let’s just say that my phone can’t fully load his complete pedigree for any length of time lol

@Cherobird Yeah, he's got some really old era 0 lines like Darkfine Keiki from Silverstar. I've more recently gotten into evenly bred era lines for eras 11, 13, and 15 and 5th gen is as high as I've gotten so far for any of those and that's bad enough as it is lol

@OfMoosehorn I love my Nd1s because of that as well. :D I would love to eventually combine that with the KP down the line or a future Era line.

@OfMoosehorn Yes, the D/ND1 combo is amazing! I so wish it could breed true. I've actually been thinking of keeping a homozygous dun line and a homozygous ND1 line going just to cross them now and then and have all guaranteed D/ND1 foals. :)

@SeahorseFarms @Cavalynn Is nd1 (or D/dn1 combo) the cause of the red tone in the tail as well? I had assumed she had LP interacting with her Cr to get that color, but that's not the case!

@OfMoosehorn I think the red tone in the tail is the color the whole coat would be if it weren't for the dun/nd1 combo, which is diluting the body to that sort of desaturated tone.

I haven't bred a lot of my even lined horses with more of the fancy genes, but my new high pt boosted stud had started his first year off great! I've been trying for forever to get a high pt champagne stud worth boosting, and here's some of his foals.
I love the different variations of appies I've gotten from him!
