Organization & Freezer Dashboard Ideas
-
I would love for the stallion straw pull list to be more organized so it's easier to find what I'm looking for. Maybe an option to pin favorites? Or at least keep foundations separate? Even when I do a find in page, I have trouble because all of the sons of the stallion I'm looking for get highlighted too. Or maybe just a straw pull option from the horse's control panel?
Another thought, some sort of dashboard where we could more easily sort horses to pull from and also view already pulled eggs/straws would be great. Maybe we could have a primary freezer like we have a primary barn and it could have sort by and view in search (would pull the horses the straws/eggs are from) just like barn pages? We could even buy more freezers with IVs to store more straws instead of having that limitation part of the upgrade?
Also, maybe an option to set a reminder to pull straws/eggs from horses that are about to age out?
And, not really to do with advanced breeding, but it would be great to be able to breed a mare up for brood to a stallion up for stud to create a foal, even without owning either parent.Thanked by 1MackZ -
I would love a button on stud page to collect straws or a user friendly filter for example filter stallions by age. That would be very helpful.

Yes someone just reminded me that I hadn't used some straws and I can't even find them. Many of the straws I sold are just sitting there in limbo and I'm pretty sure that's why .
It would be nice if straws included a picture of the horse, or his genetics and era
A separation between my horses' straws and purchased straws?Thanked by 1Cavalynn -
If I may add something, is there any way to automatically show the era on the straws? I have straws from horses I do not have any idea the era on and with futurity now, it would be easier if it showed on the straw.
-
@OrionsStables I've just always put the era in the prefix on names or in the notes on straws if the stud isn't mine. Even before the futurities, era was important to me so it was a handy habit to have.
-
@Cavalynn, I do too when I save them but many do not when they sell them. They do now that futurity is a thing but before (these are older straws) it did not seem to matter. Now I do not know what they are. I guess I could use one of each and log them.
-
@OrionsStables If you go to the sell straw/egg section of the advanced breeding lab you can click on the name of the stud and go to his page and see what era he is. Then you can label the straws if you want by entering text in the label section of the sales form without adding a price or recipient. They will stay in your inventory with the new label.

OHhh! Thank you! I didnt know that I could do that. It is so much easier that way!Thanked by 1Cavalynn

I would love the option that would allow you to pull straws or eggs on each horse's page.
I would love a filter that would say how long we had to use the eggs and straws up. That way I could use the ones about to expire first.

I love that each horses page tells us how many straws/eggs have been pulled. Just wish we could pull from each horses page now.
But one thing at a time. Ammit is working hard with other stuff to make the game better for us. :x
