New breed generation

I purchased the Friesian breed characteristic, went in a changed my supposed founding sire to the new breed, refreshed the image, but he still just looks like a warmblood. Am I missing a step? Or will he not change and it will just be his foals?
Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. -
You should always link the horse if you have a question about a specific horse.
It sounds like you may have missed the step where you set the breed characteristic for the breed.Need to contact me? Read this first.

Sorry to be so dense this morning.
I went to Manage Your Breeds, chose Hauerhawkes and unlocked the Friesian art. When I go to Add Breed Characteristics is says Friesian has been unlocked. So not sure what I am missing. I am on my mobile rather than laptop if that makes any difference.

Unlocking just means it's now available to use for any of your breeds. Then you go to "Manage My Breeds," click on the "Breed Characteristics" tab of the breed you want to use the new art, and use the little arrows on either side of the pictures to scroll through until you see the art you want to use. Then you click "Update Breed Art" below that and all horses assigned to that breed will update in the background to the new art. If you want to see a particular horse's update sooner you can go to their page and manually refresh.

Got it! Thank you so much! I went and spent a few hours with a 4 and 2 yr old in 116 degree heat. Hopefully reset the brain!
