  • The Polish ones have less extreme heads than the Egyptian style ones, just a slight dish. Can always do an Egyptian version as well later on. :)

  • I have met so many fantastic Polish Arabians with great quality! I am thrilled to see them in the game

    Just for fun, it is interresting to compare different Arabians; here is a Portuguese Arabian, from the Alter Real stud farm/Coudelaria Nacional

  • Man they look a lot like other Iberian breeds, don't they? I could easily belive this was a Lusitano.

  • Some also remind me of the Bedouin Arabian horse too

  • Very true! I think it is both because of the training, the portuguese riding style is about collection and power, which create big muscles, especially in the hindquarters and the topline, and also because of the history;

    The Portuguese crossbred their horses with Arabians after the Moors left the Iberian Peninsula, and it is the cross between the Portuguese horses and the Arabians in old days that made the Lusitano horses so fantastic.

    The braveness from the old Portuguese war horses combined with the willingness to please and the work ethic from the Arabians gave a horse that is extremely brave and attentive to their riders. They stay with the rider and ask the humans what to do with the situation, even in the most difficult moments.

    (You can see traces of the opposite in the Barb horses, bedouins who mixed Portuguese horses into their own horses)

    The Spanish horse, PRE (Pura Raza Española=Purebred Spanish horse), is pure, they don't have the arabian blood, and they have a completely different mindset and temperament. They don't stay with their rider the same way
  • I must say, I am so completely thrilled that this particular Arabian breed will be based on the Polish Arabs. I'm typically not a fan of Arabs, but Polish ones will always have a place in my heart, as my beautiful, gentle, sweet Seal (Al Asseel) was Polish bred (with some Crabbet) and she was phenomenal. She had to be PTS way, way too early in her life.

    Here's my girl:
