I am looking forward to the Irish Cob and the Iberian breeds! I love love love both of them lol

I'm looking forward to the Arabian and hoping that I like it more than the current RH type, which I like very much. Also the Vanner. My few sport ponies will have a new life. Oh yes I just realized, it's for cobs. I look forward to whatever they will be

I would love too but between my health issues, critical systems updates, dealing with the economy, and trying to move to another country we are stretched really thin. Doing what we can.

@Ammit Pergenbek is actually a really good representation of modern day balance. He still has the Teke Type, but also a sport horse build. Looking at his pedigree I recognize a lot of quality names in his line, and I even found a foal of his that was the 2010 European Champion now standing in France https://www.akhal-teke.biz/en/stallions/Prospekt/

Like the Arabian there are just as many, if not more, line types. All having different confirmation that was associated with them. But I think some of that uniformity in lines has diluted with the internet and frozen semen being accepted. Russia tends to have some typier ones because they still tend to race them when they are younger and then move them into other sports. Depending on the sport they can fill out a little more.

I’ve got to decide what I’ll end up doing with my main line. Do I keep them the Saddlebred BC? Do I get the Arabian one? Do I wait for the Teke? Arabian goes with their original game light horse look. Teke makes more sense with how I’d picture them as real horses. But the Saddlebred art is really growing on me.

Or do I breed them up to a Medium?? Because a lot of the art I’ll be looking forward to will be medium.

Figures I’ve started breeding my heavy horse line down to a medium for the Friesian art. I originally started that line and bought the feather pack going for Vanner/Irish Cob/Traditional Cob look. But it was too much to tack them all up with appropriately shaded feathers, and I lost interest. Now we’re getting the art and I’m like dang it! :))

Now, granted, my plan in breeding those down was, if I didn’t like continuing them as their own line, incorporating them into my main light horse line. And either breeding them down to a light or use them for breeding my light up to a medium. So maybe I just carry on with that plan and restart a new heavy line? I do like to keep an expro line around even though I’ve never done as well with them as my C/Yellow line(s).

I’ve started working on bringing in new breed names for my horses so, if I do want to use multiple BC types, I can. I’ve basically decided that I won’t be doing a whole account art switch again. I’ll just switch any lines I want changed to a new breed name for new art. My little “Legacy” line (keeping going one of my oldest game lines) will stay the Saddlebred art. It suits them well! So that will probably stay my main account breed art.

But any or all of these plans can change depending on how much I like the art that comes. :))

Haha, yes, the Akhal-Teke breeders in Russia and Central Asia are the most pickiest horsepeople in the world about "typicality" (I don't know if that is a word) You will literary spend hours trying to pose the horses to take photos, because everything, every line, every expression needs to be absolutely perfect and typical for them.

Here is some of the horses from an akhal teke stud farm outside of St Petersburg, where I used to ride when I studied in Russia. It was another time, another life... I think this is from 2011. I thought I had photos of the horses, but I can only find some from our hacks.

Pergenbek is nice, I also liked Piastr a lot (especially in movement), and Garausup and Gazyr

I actually got to take care of an AT when I was in highschool. One of the farms that my stepfather was a groundskeeper for had one and he was the most chill boy until his owner showed up then he was a bundle of joy. I hadn't really put much belief in the 'they're a one person kind of horse' descriptions until then ^_^

Has anybody else seen the sneak peak of the Arabian art in the newsletter!? I'm so excited! My Morelians are going to get a makeover. :D
