I've got this colt who is hom LP and carries snow. I'm loving champagne recently, and have been trying to get cham and Lp on my high pt horses. He is pretty much what I desire and I was hoping that with him I could begin to add snow to my mix of lp high pt horses instead of starting a new line.
Only problem is that he carries kit M. I don't want my high pt horses carrying that anymore and I've been selling/ spelding a lot that carry it.

*I cannot gmt the kit M off, his sire is homozygous for it.*

If I could get them, I need opinions on what y'all would do in my situation. Should I keep him and spend the hbs maxing and boosting him to use as a main stud for my goals, or not risk it with adding kit M back in my mix that I've worked for months to get rid of?
Tbh I'm 50/50 on this, Idk when the next chance of me getting a BA passed hight pt cham lp and snow colt would be.

if you don't like Kit M it wouldn't be a good move to make him your main stud 50% of your foals will get it.
if you can afford to GMT all of the ones you care about... then keep him.

@Fiddler thanks, maybe I can work something out and keep him as a back up if I have the gmts that year to ditch kit M

I was surprised when I ran out of breeding for a favorite stud. Now I keep back-ups
